The National Association of REALTORS® developed a Placemaking Initiative to encourage our REALTOR® Associations and Boards, and their members, to become engaged in their communities by transforming spaces that are unused or underused, such as vacant lots, to vibrant community gathering places, such as community gardens and farmer’s markets. The Placemaking Initiative includes a Placemaking Guide, a series of webinars and a Placemaking-micro grant.
The Placemaking blog will complement those efforts by providing news, updates, examples from around the country, including from REALTOR® associations and REALTORS®, and guest blogs. It is a place for NAR staff to interact with members, consumers, partners, the media, and other key constituencies, and share information about Placemaking and how REALTOR® associations, and our members, are engaged in Placemaking in their communities.
